Read with GGC Monthly Graphic Novel Book Club: Lunar Boy

Outsider Comics and GeekGirlCon (GGC) are teaming up to present a monthly graphic novel book club! The subject and tone of each book will vary month-to-month, but like GGC, each month’s selection will center diverse voices in the graphic novel and comics world. 

For August, we’re reading Lunar Boy by Jes and Cin Wibowo. Lunar Boy is the first traditionally published trans/nonbinary graphic novel from Indonesia and is a cozy, queer, heartwarming tale about a boy from the moon filled with Indonesian mythology and deals with the feelings of not being able to belong as an immigrant.

Book club sessions will take place at Outsider on the fourth Thursday of each month. Active discussion will be from 7 PM to 8 PM.
